Berlin, June 11, 2010 – The nineteenth FIFA World Cup is the most important event of 2010, awaited for weeks by fans around the world. Nothing else of these proportions can bring so many different people together to unite for four weeks in the selection of the world champion for the next four years. All concerts (including performances by Alicia Keys and the Black Eyed Peas) and additional events will be produced with Samplitude and Sequoia.
Opening and closing ceremonies "Powered by MAGIX"
The French sound technician and producer Pierre JACQUOT has made countless album and concert recordings, and is an expert in mixing live TV broadcasts. The well-known audio engineer will be responsible for the sound design of the live artist performances, which will be seen around the whole world. Sound design of the recorded material is also his task. Pierre JACQUOT gladly works with MAGIX software for his professional projects and didn't hesitate to pick Samplitude 11 Pro and Sequoia 11 for mixing and mastering audio tracks recorded at the celebration.
"Get your hands up"
Befitting this unique event, the engineers at german public radio station WDR 2 have composed, written and produced their own World Cup Song - of course using Sequoia 11. The song "Get your hands up" is authentically African. It is performed by Ees (Eric Sell), a native of southern Africa, living both in his homeland Namibia and in Germany.
